You can adjust this floor stand for use with any frame width of the Hagen Tapestry Loom. The floor stand was designed for easy warping of the loom and for holding the frame in the desired orientation during weaving Assembly of the Floor Stand: 1. The weaving frame/loom should be assembled with the two warping coils on opposite sides of the frame: one at the top of the front and the other on the bottom of the back. Until the warp is placed on the loom, use a string or bungi cord to hold the frame together. 2. Assembling the stand: Open the legs for each side of the stand and set upright. Align the two sides with the clips facing inward. (See the figure below.) Slide the long aluminum poles through the bases of the two sections of the floor stand. Begin with the end of the pole without the screw, inserting this first from the outside to the inside of the short-legged section, and continuing from the inside to the outside of the longer-legged section. Repeat this process for the other aluminum pole. If you wish, you can secure each pole by removing the screw and reinserting it through the holes in the base of the shorter section. 3. Attaching the frame: Remove the table stand from your frame. Facing the front of the floor stand, you will notice a pair of black plastic handles on both left and right sides: the smaller handles open and close the clamps which attach the frame to the stand and the larger handles allow you to change the orientation of the frame. (See figure below.) Slide one side of the frame into one of the clamps and tighten the clamp. Then adjust the width of the stand to the width of the frame, and attach the frame to the other clamp. The bar extending from the stand on the left can be used to attach a work lamp. |
