This innovative metal frame loom was developed in
Norway 30 years ago by metalsmith Hans Hagen in consultation with Norway's top weavers. It
is now being produced by his son, Erling. No other tapestry loom offers the portability,
versatility and professional quality of this loom."My seemingly endless search for the perfect portable
tapestry loom ended at the Norsk Fjord Fiber booth at Convergence '94." Claudia
Chase, Review in American
Tapestry Alliance Newsletter.
In fact, Claudia was so impressed with our Hagen
Loom,
that she incorporated most of its distinctive operational features in her recently
introduced Mirrix tapestry looms.
The Hagen Tapestry Loom is available in three
sizes ranging from 50 cm to 100 cm (21"- 67"). Each
loom comes with a weaving frame, a table stand, warp
coils for 5, 6, 9, 10 or 12 epi and a two harness shedding device. The loom offers
continuously adjustable warp
tension and interchangeable warp setts ranging from
5 to 12 epi. The ingenious two harness shedding device
with string heddles allows you to change sheds with a
flick of the wrist. We also include instructions for a wide
range of dressing and weaving options. These looms are
great for bead weaving too.
