VEVGARN is spun at a fifth generation spinnery on the coast of Norway - Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. This breed-specific weaving yarn is 50% Norwegian Spelsau & 50% luster-wool yarn, offering a marriage between the special luster and durability of Spelsau, and the more malleable qualities of long-staple luster wool.

Vevgarn is available in 100 gram skeins in 126 colors with two thicknesses. We have all 126 Thin Vevgarn colors in stock at the shop. The Thick Vevgarn is only available by special order, so please see the special order information below.

SAMPLES of Vevgarn colors and warp yarns spun from linen and cotton are available from us at $8 PPD. Or you can see the full color palette online at the spinnery’s website. We use the same product numbers as shown there: Hifa Vevgarn

NOTE: Thick Vevgarn yarn is a special order product. While we try to bundle special orders from Norway to lower shipping costs, yarn costs for such orders will vary according to actual shipping and customs costs incurred. Many weavers seeking thicker weaving yarns use 3-5 fold of Thin Vevgarn and have beautiful results, including the capability of color blending to produce unique colors.

Quantity discounts are available for Vevgarn orders: $100-$199: 5% discount; $200 or more: 10% discount. Warp yarns are not included in this discount schedule.
